Self Representation

In this assignment, the winner of the election (Group E2), gave us the task of representing ourselves using any non-digital medium. There were no other criteria as long as we could prove how unique you are. We also had to connect it with the Zig-Zag process that we've learned in class.

Why Did I Choose Comics to Represent Myself?

All my life, I've read tons of books and traveled to many different worlds cause of them. Unfortunately, this all lasts only until I've finished the book or series. I have always wanted to be transported into the world my characters were in. Even though it's not much, I thought, to imagine and illustrate myself in those worlds was the best I could do to make myself part of these worlds.

The inspiration came from a scene of Harry Potter, where Hagrid tells Harry he is a wizard. In this assignment, I imagine myself as Harry and that Hagrid is telling me that I am the wizard (something I've dreamt about my whole life).

From there, I take other famous characters from some favorite series and imagined myself in them.

For the second panel, I showed Mr. Tumnes telling me I'm in Narnia.

For the third panel, I showed Chiron (from Percy Jackson) telling me I'm a demigod.

For the fourth panel, I showed Professor Oak, from Pokemon telling me I'm a Pokemon master (not a book, but I've always wanted pokemon to be real!).

The fifth panel is more of a comic relief panel, where I show Effie Trinket from Hunger Games tell me I've been transported into their chaotic world.
